Bio/History
Jonathan
Markir began his career in 1983 working for several custom
cabinet and millwork shops in the Southwest suburbs of
Chicago, IL. Returning to his birthplace of Massachusetts
in 1988, he spent 10 years working for his familys
general contracting business, where he was personally
responsible for a majority of all carpentry from rough
structural framing and repair to finish installation.
His duties included all phases of on-site project management
and supervision, as well. The companys resume consisted
of residential, commercial, and industrial projects of
all types, from kitchen and bathroom renovations to elevator
hoistways.
In 1998,
Jonathan decided to leave the family business and return
to his roots of finish carpentry, cabinetry and millwork.
Scaling back and redirecting his focus, he has spent the
last several years honing his finish skills by concentrating
on projects such as kitchens, bathrooms, built-in custom
cabinetry and interior finish carpentry. Jonathan is able
to utilize his considerable experience and expertise in
all phases of construction to specialize in the things
he loves most.
